GetYourGuide Integration
Connect WP Travel Engine trips to GetYourGuide with live availability and price sync, automatic booking updates, and one place to manage every reservation.
What is the GetYourGuide Integration?
The GetYourGuide Integration add-on connects your WP Travel Engine trips to the GetYourGuide marketplace, one of the world's largest travel activity booking platforms. Travelers can find and book your trips on GetYourGuide while your site sends live seat availability and prices to the marketplace.
GetYourGuide sends bookings, modifications, and cancellations back to your site. Both systems stay in sync automatically, which prevents double bookings and removes the need to copy booking details manually.
Key Benefits
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Sell on GetYourGuide's marketplace | Reach travelers searching GetYourGuide for activities without running a second booking system. |
| Live seat availability | Seat counts on GetYourGuide change when you edit dates or take a booking on your site, preventing double bookings. |
| One place for every booking | Handle GetYourGuide bookings and cancellations on your own site next to your direct bookings. |
| Per-trip control over seats and prices | Let GetYourGuide set the price for a trip you discount there while your site keeps sending seat availability. |
| Per-person and per-group tickets | Sell a trip by the traveler or by the group. Group tickets need the Group Discount add-on. |
| Activity log with full request details | Find out why an update failed without waiting on support. |
| Currency mismatch warning | Catch a site and listing currency mismatch before incorrect prices reach customers. |
How the Integration Works
The integration uses a bidirectional connection between your site and GetYourGuide.
| Direction | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inbound | GetYourGuide contacts your site to check availability and to book, change, or cancel seats. |
| Outbound | Your site sends availability and prices to GetYourGuide. |
GetYourGuide approves the connection once, not each trip. After approval, adding a new trip takes two steps: create it on GetYourGuide, then link it in Trip Mapping.
Modules
The add-on has two areas: one for managing the connection and one for completing GetYourGuide's approval process.
| Module | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Integration | Configure general settings, credentials, sandbox mode, the currency mismatch warning, and trip mapping. You can also read activity logs. |
| Setup Guide | Get approved by GetYourGuide by creating an Integrator Portal account, passing self-tests on a staging site, moving to your live site, and passing live testing. |
