WP Travel Engine Pro

WP Travel Engine Pro helps you turn on and manage the premium add-ons that come with your WP Travel Engine package. A plugin is a tool you add to WordPress to give your site new features. Once WP Travel Engine Pro is active, you can install add-ons and activate their license from one place in your dashboard.

If you run treks, day tours, or multi-day tour packages, this saves time. For example, you might want to turn on group discounts for private departures or seasonal pricing for peak trekking months. You can manage those add-ons from the same screen. We will go one step at a time.

Set up WP Travel Engine Pro

What you'll need before you start: your WP Travel Engine account login, access to your WordPress dashboard, and your premium add-on package purchase.

1. Download WP Travel Engine Pro

You need the plugin file before you can add it to your website. In this step, you will download it to your computer.

Once the file is downloaded, you are ready to add it to WordPress.

2. Install and activate WP Travel Engine Pro

Now you will add the plugin to your WordPress site. Your WordPress dashboard is the back end of your website where you manage tours, pages, and settings.

If you reached the activation screen, you are in the right place. Next, you will open the area where licenses and add-ons are managed.

3. Open the Plugin License page

This page is where you will activate your package and install each add-on. It lives inside the WP Travel Engine menu on the left side of your dashboard.

Now that you can see the add-ons, you need the license key that unlocks them.

4. Find your license key

A license key is a code that confirms your purchase and unlocks your premium add-ons. You will copy that code from your WP Travel Engine account.

Keep that key handy. You will paste it into your WordPress dashboard next.

5. Activate the license for your add-ons

This step connects your purchase to your site. Once the license is active, you can install the premium add-ons in your package.

Once your license is active, you can start installing the add-ons you want to use.

6. Install and activate add-ons

Now you can turn on the add-ons one by one. This lets you choose the features that match how you run your tours.

Your add-ons are now ready to use. It is also a good idea to know where to check their license status later.

7. Check and manage your license status

You can check the status of your licenses at any time from WP Travel Engine > Plugin License in your WordPress dashboard.

This is useful if you want to confirm an add-on is still active before updating tour pricing or opening a new booking season.

If everything looks active, you are set. If something is not working, start with the checks below.

8. License activation issue caused by firewall or IP blocking

Sometimes a valid license key still does not activate. One possible reason is that a firewall system has blocked your IP address for security reasons. Your IP address is the internet connection your device is using at that moment.

If that happens, contact the support team by raising a support ticket. The team can check the firewall system and unblock your IP if needed.

Troubleshooting

The license key isn't working

First, make sure you copied the full key from License Key History. Then paste it again without extra spaces before or after the key.

If the key still does not work, check that you already installed and activated WP Travel Engine Pro. The add-ons cannot be activated before that.

I cannot find the Plugin License page

Look on the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard for WP Travel Engine. Then click Plugin License under that menu.

If you do not see it, check whether WP Travel Engine Pro is active under Plugins. If it is not active yet, activate it first.

The Install Now button is missing

This usually means the license is not active yet. Go back to the add-on row and activate the license key first.

After the license is active, return to the same page and check again.

I installed the add-on, but nothing changed on my site

Most add-ons need to be activated after installation. After you click Install Now, make sure you also click Activate.

If you still do not see the feature, refresh the page and check the add-on status again. Then look for the new settings inside the tour or booking area where that add-on is used.

I pasted the key, but the add-on still shows as inactive

Check the message shown after you click Activate. If the license has expired, you need to renew it before the add-on can stay active.

If the key is valid and the page still shows the add-on as inactive, try opening WP Travel Engine > Plugin License again and checking the status there.

I downloaded the file, but WordPress will not upload it

Make sure you are uploading the wptravelengine-pro.zip file you downloaded. Do not unzip the file before uploading it to WordPress.

Upload the zip file through Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin. That is the correct place for plugin files.

I am not sure which add-ons I should activate first

Start with the add-ons that solve the most immediate need in your business.

For example, if you run private group departures, activate the add-on that supports group pricing first. If you offer winter and spring trek rates, activate seasonal pricing before editing your tour prices.
