Can I Use WP Travel Engine with Elementor?

Design your trip pages visually in Elementor with the free WP Travel Engine Elementor Widgets add-on. Find out what to install, how to set it up, and what you can customize.

Yes, you can use WP Travel Engine with Elementor. Elementor is a visual page builder - a tool that lets you design web pages by dragging and dropping pieces into place, instead of writing code.

To use WP Travel Engine inside Elementor, you'll need a free add-on called WP Travel Engine – Elementor Widgets. An add-on is a smaller plugin that adds extra features to WP Travel Engine.

Right now, this add-on lets you design the Single Trip page - the page each individual tour or trip has on your site. That's the page where travelers see your trip details, itinerary, price, and booking form.

Say you run a 5-day desert safari. You could use Elementor to arrange the trip gallery, itinerary, and pricing section in whatever order looks best to you. You can also add your own headings and text around them.

You can download the add-on for free from the WordPress.org plugin repository.

What the Elementor Widgets add-on gives you

The add-on includes over 20 widgets built specifically for travel and tour booking sites. A widget is a building block you drag onto the page, like placing furniture in a room. Each widget shows a different part of your trip.

Here's what you can do with it:

  • Design your Single Trip pages visually in Elementor's drag-and-drop editor. You move things around with your mouse until the page looks right.
  • Use pre-designed templates so you don't have to start from a blank page. These give you a ready-made layout you can adjust.

Once everything is set up, you'll have a lot of flexibility in how your trip pages look. You won't be stuck with the default layout.

Set up WP Travel Engine with Elementor

You'll need all three of these plugins active on your site before you can start designing in Elementor. Two of them are free, and the process is the same for each.

Install WP Travel Engine

If you haven't already, install and activate the main WP Travel Engine plugin. This is the core plugin that powers your trips and bookings. You'll find it under Plugins on the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard.

Install Elementor

Install and activate the Elementor plugin. Elementor is the visual editor you'll use to design your pages. You can install it under Plugins > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.

Install WP Travel Engine – Elementor Widgets

Download the WP Travel Engine – Elementor Widgets add-on and activate it. This is the free add-on that connects WP Travel Engine's trip features to Elementor's page builder.

Once all three are active, you're ready to open Elementor and start building your Single Trip pages. The next section has a video walkthrough if you'd like to see how it works before trying it yourself.
