Trips Slider Two Widget
Show your tours in a sliding trip display with Elementor, and control which trips appear, how the slider works, and how each part looks.
Overview
The Trips Slider Two widget helps you show your trips in a moving row on any page. A widget is a ready-made block you drag onto your page. Elementor is a page builder plugin that lets you design pages by dragging and dropping. A carousel is a sliding row of trip cards.
Before you start, make sure Elementor and WP Travel Engine are active in your WordPress site.
Open the page in Elementor
Go to the page where you want to show your trips. Then click Edit with Elementor from your WordPress dashboard or from the page list.
You should now see the Elementor editor with settings on the left sidebar.
Add the Trips Slider Two widget
Search for Trips Slider Two in the Elementor panel on the left. Drag it into the section where you want the trip slider to appear.
Once you drop it in place, you will see trip cards appear in the preview area.
Choose what to show and how it looks
Use the settings panels on the left to control the layout, which trips appear, slider behavior, and styling.
For example, you might show your latest Everest treks on the home page, or highlight a few featured day tours on a destination page.
A good next step is choosing the layout that fits your page. Then you can decide which trips to show.
Layout settings
Your layout changes the overall look of the trip cards. Start here if you want the slider to match the style of your page.
- Layout - choose the card design you want to use for your trips. Different layouts give you different visual styles. For example, one layout may suit premium multi-day packages, while another may work better for short day tours.
Once the layout looks right, pick which trips you want visitors to see.
Query settings
These settings control which trips appear in the slider. This matters when you want to promote a certain group of tours instead of showing everything.
- Show Trips by - choose how the widget picks trips. You can show latest trips, trips on sale, featured trips, trips from a specific term, or hand-pick specific trips from a list. For example, you could show only featured Annapurna treks during peak booking season.
- Number of Trips - choose how many trips appear in the slider. For example, showing 4 to 6 trips often works well on a home page without making the section feel crowded.
After you choose the trips, you can decide what details each card should show.
Additional settings
These options help you control how much information appears on each trip card. Turn on the details that help people decide faster.
- Featured Ribbon - show a featured label on selected trips. This works well when you want to draw attention to your best-selling tours.
- Discount - show the discount percentage on trips that are on sale. This can help seasonal offers stand out.
- Review - show trip reviews on the card. Reviews can help build trust quickly.
- Location - show where the trip takes place. This is useful for operators who offer tours across several regions.
- Title - show the trip title.
- Title Meta - show extra title-related information with the trip title.
- Price - show the trip price on the card.
- Show Strikethrough Price on Sale - show the original price with a line through it when a trip is on sale. This helps visitors notice the savings.
- Duration Type - choose whether trip length shows in days or nights. For example, a lodge trek may be clearer in nights, while a sightseeing package may be clearer in days.
- Price Label - set the text that appears with the price. For example, you might use "From" for multi-day packages with variable pricing.
- Wishlist - show the wishlist icon so visitors can save trips for later.
- Show View More Button - show a button that lets visitors open the full trip details.
- View More Label - change the text on that button. For example, you might use "View Tour" or "See Itinerary."
If your trip cards feel busy, start by showing only the Title, Price, Location, and Show View More Button. Then add reviews, ribbons, or wishlist options only where they help.
Now that the card content is set, you can control how the slider moves.
Slider settings
These settings shape how the trip slider behaves on the page. They matter most when you want the section to feel calm, fast, or more eye-catching.
- Slider Number - choose how many trip cards show at the same time.
- Space Between Slides - set the gap between cards in pixels. A little extra space can make premium tour cards feel cleaner.
- Autoplay - make the slider move on its own.
- Autoplay Speed - choose how long the slider waits before moving to the next card, in milliseconds. A slower speed often works better for trips because visitors need time to read the title and price.
- Loop - keep the slider cycling back to the beginning after the last trip.
- Transition Speed - control how fast one slide changes to the next, in milliseconds.
- Slider Arrow - show left and right arrows for manual navigation.
- Slider Pagination - show navigation dots below the slider.
If the movement looks good, the last big step is matching the style to your brand.
