Travel Monster Addons

Add your own brand fonts to your tour website and turn on an announcement bar for promotions and seasonal offers. Learn how to set up both addons included with Travel Monster Pro.

Travel Monster Pro comes with two built-in extras (called "addons"). An addon is an optional feature you can turn on or off depending on what you need. This page covers the two addons included with Travel Monster Pro: Custom Fonts and Notification Bar.

The Custom Fonts addon lets you upload your own font files so your website matches your brand. The Notification Bar addon adds a thin strip across the top of your site where you can post announcements like seasonal discounts or booking deadlines.

You'll need Travel Monster Pro installed and active before you start.

Custom Fonts

The Custom Fonts addon lets you upload your own font files to your website. Once uploaded, the fonts show up everywhere the theme lets you pick a font. This includes the WordPress Customizer (the settings page where you change colors, fonts, and layout for your site, found under Appearance > Customize in your dashboard).

Say your tour company has a logo that uses a specific font, and you want your website headings to match that font. This addon lets you do that.

Turn on the Custom Fonts addon

Open the Addons panel

You'll manage both addons from the same place. From the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Travel Monster > Addons.

Enable Custom Fonts

Find Custom Fonts in the list and toggle it on. It turns on right away.

Upload a custom font

Once the add-on is on, click Configure next to Custom Fonts to open its settings.

Name the font

Type a name you'll recognize later. This is what you'll see when picking fonts across your site.

Pick a font weight

Font weight means how thick or thin the letters look. "Regular" is normal text. "Bold" is thicker. Choose the weight that matches the file you're uploading.

Upload the font file

Upload the font file from your computer. Only .woff2 and .ttf formats are supported. These are common web font file types.

Save your changes

Click Save Changes to apply the new font.

Not sure if your font file is in the right format? Check woff2 browser support before uploading. If your font is in a different format like OTF, convert it first using a tool such as this OTF to WOFF2 converter.

After you save a font, it appears in your font list. From there, you can replace the font file, adjust the font weight, or delete the font entirely.

Every font you upload becomes available in the theme's Typography settings, including the WordPress Customizer.

That's the Custom Fonts addon set up. Next up is the Notification Bar.

Notification Bar

The Notification Bar addon adds a thin strip across the top of your website. You can use it to post a short message that all visitors see right away. This works well for things like seasonal promotions, booking deadlines, or an important update.

Say you're running a 20% off monsoon season sale and want every visitor to see it the moment they land on your site. That's what this bar is for.

You'll find the toggle for it in the same Addons panel as Custom Fonts.

From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Travel Monster > Addons.

For step-by-step instructions on setting up the Notification Bar (what text to show, colors, and layout), see the General Settings page.

Once you've turned on the Notification Bar addon here, head over to that General Settings page to type in your message and pick how it looks.
