The Travelverse theme for WordPress free block-based theme that supports Full Site Editing, making it easier to customize your website. Unlike traditional editing methods through the website customizer, Travelverse offers various patterns created from the Gutenberg block editor’s blocks and settings.
When you activate the Travelverse theme, you get a fully functional website ready to go. You can easily edit the content of each page template using the Site Editor, giving you complete control over your site’s appearance and layout.
Moreover, Travelverse is compatible with WP Travel Engine, making it an excellent choice for travel blogging sites. You can easily integrate this theme with the plugin, allowing you to showcase trips and use different Travel Engine blocks across various templates.
In terms of design flexibility, Travelverse provides plenty of room for creativity. You can experiment with different Block Patterns and customize default color and typography settings to match your style. Plus, if you ever want to revert to the original design, there’s a feature to clear any customizations and return to the default state.
How to use this Documentation? #
This documentation covers the installation and the usage of the theme.
The main goal of the documentation is to provide guidance and walk-through to set up the theme on your website in an easy-to-follow manner, while also introducing you to some of the features of the theme. We encourage you to go through this document and keep it handy for reference.
We recommend everyone to go through each step of the documentation to have a better understanding of the theme and its features.

How to Install Travelverse Theme? #
- Download the installation file from here by clicking the Download button
- Login to your WordPress website and go to Appearance > Themes
- Click on Add New button and then click on Upload Theme button
- Chose the .zip file you downloaded earlier (in Step 1)
- Click on Install Now button
- After the theme is installed, click on Activate button
Note: for Safari users (macOS): If you are using Safari to download the theme file, the file may unzip automatically. So, make sure your theme file is in .zip format. Here’s how to stop Safari from automatically unzipping your .zip file.
Travelverse Dashboard #
You can access the Travelverse Dashboard via Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Travelverse.
Travelverse Dashboard provides you one-way access to everything related to the theme. You can find features that are provided under the three tabs of the Travelverse Dashboard namely – Dashboard, Starter Sites, Free vs Pro, and Settings.
Here is a brief explanation of each tab:
Dashboard tab – From this tab, you can customize your site. The link of Theme Documentation and Support channel are also provided under this section.
Starter Sites – You can browse all the Travelverse Starter Templates from this tab.
Free vs Pro: Here’s a comparison of the functionalities available in the free theme versus the pro plugin.
Settings: In the free theme, you don’t have access to these settings. However, with the premium plugin, you can easily access some customizer shortcuts like Color options,Custom Script , Typography and Custom CSS code.
How to Configure Page Settings? #
Static Homepage #
The Travelverse theme will by default display the Front Page Template as the homepage of your website.
However, if you want to go in a more systematic approach, and setup a static homepage and use a separate page as the Blog page of your website then you will need to follow the below listed steps:
- Visit Admin Dashboard > Pages > Add New and create two pages entitled ‘Home’ and ‘Blog’.
- Once you publish these pages, go to Admin Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
- Select the page titled ‘Home’ from the drop-down as Homepage.
- Select the page titled ‘Blog’ from the drop-down as the Posts page.
- Click on Save Changes.
Latest Posts on Homepage #
If you want to use your Homepage to display the list of latest blog posts on your website rather than displaying the static content then you will need to edit the Front Page Template directly inside the Site Editor.
The following are the steps to be followed:
- Go to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the List View icon.
- Click on each section and then on the three dots icon to view the block options.
- Select the Delete option.
- With the Header Template Part block selected, click on the Toggle block inserter icon.
- Click on the Patterns tab and select the Travelverse Patterns.
- Further, select the Blog pattern to add it to the Front Page Template.
- Make necessary modifications for the added Blog pattern.
- Click on Save to publish the changes made.
Travelverse Pattern #
Travelverse patterns are constructed using Gutenberg blocks and WP Travel Engine, which you can add into your pages/posts to elevate their visual appeal. In addition to the block patterns offered by WordPress, the Travelverse theme offers its own set of Travelverse Patterns which serve as foundational elements for creating your travel blogging site.
How to Create a Pattern? #
If you want to create a new pattern for a specific category of pattern to apply for any random post/page on your website then the Travelverse theme has got you covered.
You can follow the below listed steps for this:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Pattern.
- Click on the Plus Icon to create a pattern.
- Please assign a name to the pattern and select the desired pattern category where you would like to add it.
How to add Travelverse Pattern? #
You can follow the below listed steps to add a Travelverse Pattern to a page of your website:
- Go to Admin Dashboard > Pages > Add New to create a page and enter the page title.
- Click on the Patterns tab.
- You can either directly select the available Travelverse Pattern from the dropdown option or click on the Explore button and then select a Travelverse option.
- Click on the available pattern/block that you want to add on your site page.
- Modify the added block as per your requirement.
- Click Publish to save the changes made.
Travelverse Template #
Travelverse Templates are the pre-designed and editable page layout inside the Travelverse theme. A page when assigned with a specific Travelverse Template will inherit the design and content of that Travelverse Template.
The Travelverse theme provides a variety of Templates that can serve as the foundation for your website building. Templates are developed using Gutenberg block and WP Travel Engine block. The list of page templates available here are created considering the basic site page requirement of a blogging website and a business website. These templates include:

- Team Page
- Destination Page
- Trip Search Result Page
- Activities Page
- Trip Types Page
- Blank Page
How to create New Template? #
If you want to create a new template for a specific category of post or page or a custom template to apply for any random post/page on your website then the Travelverse theme has got you covered.
You can follow the below listed steps for this:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Navigate to the Templates tab. Click on “+” icon to add a new template.
- Choose the category of post/page for which you want to create a new template or choose to create a Custom template that can be applied to any post or page depending on your requirement.
- Choose the category of post/page for which you want to create a new template or choose to create a Custom template that can be applied to any post or page depending on your requirement.
- Configure the settings required by the category you choose.
- Once you enter the Page Template Editor, you can choose the pattern or add the desired elements and make necessary customizations.
- Click on Save button to publish the changes made.
How to sort the added section of the Travelverse Template? #
Travelverse gives you full flexibility to sort the added sections/patterns for a page template including the site header and footer.
You can follow the below listed steps for this:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Toggle Navigation icon.
- Next, click on the Templates tab and select the Page Template that you want to edit.
- Inside the Page Template editor, click on the List View icon.
- Click to select the section whose position you want to change inside the Page Template.
- Click on the Move up or Move down icon on the horizontal toolbar to move the section upwards or downwards.
- Finally, click on Save button to publish the changes made.
How to apply page template to a page? #
If you want to apply any of these pre-defined page template to a page created on your website, then, the below are the steps to be followed:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Pages > Add New.
- Enter the page title.
- Click on Swap Template via the Template option
- Choose the template that you want to use.
- Click Publish to save the changes made.
How to clear Template Customization? #
The Travelverse theme imposes no restriction to its user in editing the provided Travelverse Templates. But if you are not satisfied with the modifications you made at any stage and want to revert back to the default Template design then you do have the option to clear customizations from the theme templates.
For this,
- Visit Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Toggle Navigation icon.
- Click on the Templates tab and then click on Manage all Templates tab.
A revert ‘Actions’ icon will be visible for the Travelverse Templates for which the customizations has been made.
- Click on the Reset icon of the Template for which you want to clear the customization.
Travelverse Template Part #
Travelverse Template Parts are the block container that you can create and use for a specific area of your website such as the site header or footer or any area of a Page Template. It can also be termed as a section structured using different blocks and settings provided by the Travelverse theme and WordPress.
These Template Parts are available as blocks inside the Page Template Editor and the Site Editor and help the site developer design and form reusable small sections for the theme.
The area where a Travelverse Template Part shall be used can be categorized into the following:
General: The Template Part created under this category are not tied to a particular area. Meaning, these blocks can be added to any part of a Page Template hierarchy. These blocks usually hold a post content that are common between two Page Templates. The theme offers two distinct sidebar templates. One is designed for use with all blog posts and pages, while the other for shop archive pages.
Header: The Header Template Part holds the layout for the website header. These blocks contains the site title, logo, and navigation menu. You can also add any other elements that are relevant for a website header here. There is one Header template in the theme.
Footer: The Footer Template Part holds the layout for the website footer section. These blocks contains the site credits, social links, and combination of other blocks. There are two footer layouts in the theme.
How to Create a New Template Part? #
The following are the steps included for creating a new Template Part:
- Go to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Toggle Navigation icon.
- Next, click on the Patterns tab and then click on the Manage all template parts tab. Click on Add New Template Part button.
- Enter the Name for the Template Part and choose the preferred Area.
- Click on Create.
- Click on the Toggle block inserter icon and select the blocks and patterns that you want to add.
- Enter the content and make necessary customizations.
- Click on Save button to publish the changes made.
How to clear Template Part Customization? #
Similar to the process of clearing the Template customization, the Travelverse theme provides you with the option to delete customizations from the Travelverse Template Parts. This option is only available for the pre-existing Travelverse Template Parts and not for the one that you create.
To clear the Travelverse Template Parts customization, you can follow the below steps:
- Visit Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Toggle Navigation icon.
- Click on the Patterns and then click on Manage all Template Parts tab.
A reset ‘Actions’ icon will be visible for the Travelverse Template Parts for which the customizations has been made.
- Click on the reset Actions icon of the Template Part for which you want to clear the customization.
Appearance Settings #
How to add Site Logo? #
The Travelverse theme uses the Site Logo block as the logo placeholder on the site header. You can follow the below listed steps to add a site logo for your website:
- Go to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Site Logo block.
- Upload a logo image or choose one from your Media Library and click Select.
- Configure the necessary block settings for the added logo image.
- Click on Save button to publish the changes made.
How to change theme color? #
You can change the default color settings for all the elements of your website from the Site Editor.
The below listed are the steps to be followed for changing the theme colors:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Styles icon in the top right corner and click on the Colors.
Further, you can choose to edit the the theme’s default color palette as well as change the default color set for different elements used in the theme such as text, links, headings, etc.
- Click on the Palette option under color block.
- Click the three dots icon ⋮ under Solid tab and then click Show details.
- You can click on each available section to change the assigned color.
Additionally, you have the option to select “Custom Color” to change the site’s color variations.
6. Finally, click on Save to publish the changes made.
How to change Typography Settings? #
To change the default typography settings for all the text elements on your website, you can follow the below listed steps:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor.
- Click on the Styles icon in the top right corner and then click on the Typography tab.
- Click on the element whose typography setting you would like to change.
- Select font-size, font-weight and line-height for the respective element.
- Click on Save to publish the changes made.
Styles for the Block #
Blocks provided by the WordPress editor is an essential when it comes to the formation of different patterns and templates in the Travelverse theme.
Considering their significance, the Travelverse theme has provided a Styles setting option for different WordPress Blocks inside their respective settings.
For instance, the Styles setting provided for the Group Block.
You can apply hover effect for a specific Group created inside a Page Template via this setting.
The Style setting will appear for a Group when you select a particular Group inside the Site Editor or the Page Template Editor.
The following are the different hover effect options provided under the Styles setting:
Default: Selecting this option won’t apply any styling to the selected Group.
Hover Animation: You can apply animation effect to the selected Group on hover state by selecting this option.
Slide Up Fade In Animation: You can apply slide up animation to the selected Group by selecting this option.
Slide Down Fade In Animation: You can apply slide down animation to the selected Group by selection this option.
Slide Right Fade In Animation: You can apply slide right animation to the selected Group by selection this option.
Slide Left Fade In Animation: You can apply slide left animation to the selected Group by selection this option.
ClipIn Animation: You can apply dynamic movement effects, such as fades, slides, and bounces to enhance the display of block content.
Flip Left Animation: You can apply Flip Left animation to flip or slide in from the left side upon user interaction.
Flip Right Animation: You can apply Flip Right animation to flip or slide in from the right side upon user interaction.
Flip Up Animation: You can apply Flip Up animation to flip or slide in from the up side upon user interaction.
Flip Down Animation: You can apply Flip Down animation to flip or slide in from the downside upon user interaction.
Zoon In Animation: You can apply Zoon In Animation to magnify and brings focus to the block content, gradually enlarging it within the block’s boundaries to attract attention.
Zoon Out Animation: You can apply Zoon Out animation to gradually decrease the size of the block content, creating a visually engaging effect where the content appears to shrink.
Zoon In Up Animation: You can apply Zoon In Up animation to bring block content from the bottom, enlarging it gradually to draw attention to the content in an upward direction.
Zoon In Down Animation: You can apply Zoon In Down animation to bring the block content into view from the top, gradually enlarging it to focus on the content in a downward direction.
Zoon In Right Animation: You can apply Zoon In Right animation to animate the block content from the right side, gradually enlarging it to emphasize the content’s entrance from the right.
Zoon In Left Animation: You can apply Zoon In Left animation to slide the block content in from the left side, gradually enlarging it to draw the content’s entrance from the left.
Zoon Out Up Animation: You can apply Zoon Out Up animation to gradually reduces the size of the block content while moving it upwards, creating an effect where the content appears to shrink and move away from the viewer towards the top of the block.
Zoon Out Down Animation: You can apply Zoon Out Down animation to gradually decreases the size of the block content while moving it downwards, creating an effect where the content appears to shrink and move away from the viewer towards the bottom of the block.
Zoon Out Left Animation: You can apply Zoon Out Left animation to shrink the block content while moving it towards the left, creating an effect where the content appears to diminish and shift away from the viewer towards the left side of the block.
Zoon Out Right Animation: You can apply Zoon Out Right Animation to reduce the size of the block content while moving it towards the right, creating an effect where the content appears to shrink and move away from the viewer towards the right side of the block.
You can also find different Style Settings for Button Block.
The Style setting will appear for a Button when you select a particular Button inside the Site Editor or the Page Template Editor.
The following are the different styles provided under the Styles setting:
Default: Selecting this option will apply default styling to the Selected Button.
Outline: This option allows you to add a button with the box-shadow property and white background color.
Primary Arrow: This option allows you to add the button with the primary arrow style.
White Arrow: This option allows you to add the button with White Arrow.
