Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown is an extension for WP Travel Engine plugin to add a fixed starting dates countdown to desired trips.
Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown requires WP Travel Engine plugin and Trip Fixed Starting Dates add-on installed.
Installation #
To install Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown Extension:
- Download the extension from your dashboard
- Upload the folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Activate ‘WP Travel Engine – Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown’ from the Plugins menu within WordPress
How does it work? #
Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown adds a Trip Starting Countdown widget in the widgets section and a Trip Countdown Configuration meta box in the trip dashboard. It is dependent on Trip Fixed Starting Dates add-on causing it to work only on the trips that have Fixed Starting Dates configured.
One must choose a Fixed Starting Trip date from the drop-down on the individual trip post, else the countdown will automatically begin from the next upcoming Fixed Starting Trip Date.
Configuration #
To add the Trip Starting Countdown widget, go to Appearance > Widgets.
Activate the Trip Starting Countdown widget in WP Travel Engine Sidebar or Footer to display it on single trips.
To configure the Trip Countdown Configuration meta box, go to individual trip post and choose a Fixed Starting Trip date from the drop-down.
Check Hide if you want to disable the widget in certain trip posts.
Click Update to save the changes.
Trip Fixed Starting Dates Countdown begins automatically from the next upcoming Fixed Starting Trip Date or from the Fixed Starting Trip date chosen from the drop-down on the individual trip post.
