Zapier

The Zapier Add-On for WP Travel Engine allows you to automate your workflow by connecting your WordPress travel site to 5,000+ applications like Google Sheets, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zendesk, Dropbox, and more using Zapier’s Webhooks. This integration eliminates repetitive tasks and helps you manage your bookings and inquiries more efficiently. It can automate repetitive tasks such as email notifications, CRM updates, and data storage. Also, it will help to add multiple webhooks for different triggers.

WP Travel Engine Zapier addon requires WP Travel Engine plugin v. 5.0 or later installed and activated on your website.

Requirement #

  • WP Travel Engine plugin and WP Travel Engine Pro installed and activated.
  • A Zapier account

Installation #

  • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
  • Navigate to WP Travel Engine → Extensions.
  • Activate the License key of the Zapier Addon
  • Click “Install Now” and then activate it.

Add Webhooks in WP Travel Engine #

  1. Navigate to WP Travel Engine → Settings → Extensions → Zapier Integration.
  2. Automation for Booking: Enable the toggle to automatically trigger booking zaps when a new booking is created.
  3. Automation for Enquiries: Enable the toggle to automatically trigger enquiry zaps when a new enquiry is created.
  4. Enter the name and webhook URLs for zaps used for bookings.
  5. Enter the name and webhook URLs for zaps used for enquiries.

Create a Zap in Zapier #

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.
  2. Click Create Zap.
  3. Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the Trigger App.
  4. Select the Trigger Event: Catch Hook.
  5. Zapier will generate a unique webhook URL.
  6. Copy the webhook URL and paste it into WP Travel Engine’s Zapier settings (as above).
  7. Submit a test booking or enquiry form on your website.
  8. Return to Zapier and click Test Trigger to verify the data is received correctly.
