Trip Weather Forecast is an extension for WP Travel Engine plugin to add a weather forecast widget to desired trips.
Trip Weather Forecast requires WP Travel Engine plugin installed.
Installation #
To install Trip Weather Forecast Extension:
- Download the extension from your dashboard
- Upload the folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Activate ‘WP Travel Engine – Trip Weather Forecast’ from the Plugins menu within WordPress
How does it work? #
Trip Weather Forecast adds a Trip Weather Forecast widget in the widgets section and a Trip Weather Configuration meta box in the individual trip dashboard.
A user must configure the weather settings like unit, language, current weather conditions, and hourly and daily forecasts in the widget dashboard, and type and select the location from the drop-down in individual trip posts. The widget doesn’t yet support the locations that do not appear in the drop-down.
Configuration #
To add the Trip Weather Forecast widget, go to Appearance > Widgets.
Activate the Trip Weather Forecast widget in WP Travel Engine Sidebar or Footer to display it on single trips.
To configure the Trip Weather Configuration meta box, go to individual trip post and type and select the location from the drop-down.
Check Hide if you want to disable the widget in certain trip posts.
Click Update to save the changes.
Trip Weather Forecast displays the widget in the single trip posts based on the configured settings and preferred location.
