How to Change the Date and Time Format in WP Travel Engine?
Change how dates and times display on your trip pages and booking calendar by updating one WordPress setting.
Introduction
WP Travel Engine does not have its own date and time format settings. It uses the format you set in WordPress. When you change the format in WordPress, every date and time on your site updates to match. That includes your booking calendar, trip summaries, and confirmation details.
Say you run tours for travelers in Europe. They expect to see dates as day/month/year, like 04/09/2026. Your WordPress site might be showing month/day/year, like 09/04/2026. Changing the date format fixes this everywhere at once.
Prerequisites
What you'll need before you start: You need admin access to your WordPress dashboard. Your dashboard is the control panel you log into to manage your website. If you can add or edit trips in WP Travel Engine, you already have this access.
Changing the Date Format
This setting controls how dates appear everywhere on your site, from your trip pages to your booking calendar.
Open the WordPress general settings
This is where WordPress stores the date and time format options.
In your WordPress dashboard, look at the menu running down the left side. Click Settings, then click General.
Find the Date Format section
You will see a set of ready-made formats to choose from.
Scroll down the page until you see the Date Format heading.
Pick a format
The format you choose here is what travelers will see on your trip pages and booking calendar.
Click the small circle next to the format you want. A radio button is the small circle you click to select one option from a list.

Use a custom format if needed
This is for when none of the ready-made formats match what you want.
If none of the options fit, select Custom and type a format code in the field next to it. A format code is a short set of letters that tells WordPress how to arrange the date. For example, m/d/Y gives you month/day/year.
Below the options, you will see a Preview line. It shows you exactly how the date will look once saved. Take a look at it to make sure you are happy with the format before moving on.

You have picked a date format. Next, let's set the time format on the same page.
Changing the Time Format
This setting controls how times appear on your site. For example, if your day tours start at 7:30 in the morning, this is what decides whether travelers see "7:30 AM" or "07:30" on the booking calendar.
Find the Time Format section
You are still on the same page, so there is no need to go anywhere new.
Scroll down a little further. You will see the Time Format heading below the Date Format section.
Pick a time format
This is the format travelers see when they choose a departure time on your booking calendar.
Click the small circle next to the format you want.

Use a custom format if needed
This is for when you need a time format that is not in the list above.
If none of the options fit, select Custom and type a format code in the field. For example, g:i A gives you a 12-hour format with an uppercase AM or PM.
The Preview line below the options shows how the time will look once saved. Check it to confirm before moving on.
Saving Your Changes
Your new date and time format will not take effect until you save.
Save the settings
This stores your new format so it appears across your site.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
Check the result on a trip page
This confirms your new format is showing up the way you want.
Open any trip on your website. Look at the booking widget, which is the small section on the trip page where travelers pick their date and time. The dates and time slots on the Date & Time tab will now follow the format you picked.
Good to know: These settings apply to your entire website. Changing the date or time format here updates it across every trip's booking widget, not just one. If you run several tours, they will all use the same format.
